Bonnaroo 2023, held at the iconic Manchester Farm, or virtually through the Hulu Livestream Event, once again proved to be an enchanting and unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts and festival-goers alike. As virtual attendees, we had the privilege of immersing ourselves in four days of late-night music sets from the comfort of our homes. This allowed us to curate our own personal festival experience, complete with dance parties and silent discos.

The lineup for Bonnaroo 2023 was exceptional, showcasing a diverse mix of established and emerging artists from various genres. From legendary headliners to up-and-coming stars, the stages came alive with captivating performances that catered to a wide range of musical tastes. The electric energy permeated through our screens, as each artist brought their unique style and charisma to the stage, leaving us at home yearning for more and prompting us to turn up the volume to enhance our experience.

Let us share with you the sets we were fortunate enough to witness, where we also discovered some incredible new artists that we instantly fell in love with!

Kicking off the festival was Portugal the Man, delivering a solid performance of all their beloved songs. While we would have appreciated a bit more energy or perhaps a surprise mashup or special guest appearance, the vocals and the band's execution hit all the right notes, leaving us eager to revisit their records.

Next up was Tyler Childers, a remarkable blend of country, folk, and blues. This was another new discovery for us, and we were immediately captivated by his upbeat, dance-worthy music infused with heart and soul. It embodied everything one would hope for in a late-night summer concert. Learning that Tyler grew up singing in his church choir, it became evident in the set that his true talents as a songwriter and storyteller shone through his lyrics. The inclusion of a steel guitar, fiddle, and a full string section elevated the experience, compelling even viewers at home to get up and dance around their living rooms.

Then came Big Wild, a delightful surprise for us. We realized we had been late to the party, as their electronic dance group exuded an unexpected level of soul. It was as if we were transported to a fantastic seventies disco night intertwined with a 2010 indie pop concert. The band's infectious joy translated effortlessly through the screen, captivating viewers and ensuring a great time for all. Additionally, if you're in need of a similar jacket to the one worn by the lead singer, we found a comparable one on Amazon here. Whether it's for an upcoming festival, an in-home dance session, or a night on the town, check it out!

Odesza, with their drumline and mesmerizing laser lights, delivered a fantastic show that confirmed their position as the main late-night act on Saturday. However, it was Sudan Archives who truly stole the show, commanding attention with outstanding vocals and hypnotic dance moves. The focus shifted beautifully to Sudan Archives in the best possible way.

Marcus Mumford delighted us with a selection of throwback songs from his days as the lead singer of Mumford & Sons. While a few narratives didn't fully translate through the TV screen, he made a statement that truly resonated: Bonnaroo is a genuine music festival for music lovers. Overall, it was a fantastic set that helped us wind down on a Sunday night.

We currently have one on our work desk, providing crystal clear tunes that keep us energized throughout the day. Sonos speakers are worth the investment, ensuring a lasting, high-quality audio experience that will make your music resonate throughout your home. Whether it's for future festival streaming events or enhancing your enjoyment throughout the day, Sonos is a reliable choice.

Bonnaroo 2023 was an outstanding success, showcasing the transformative power of music, art, and community. The Hulu Livestream Event placed us in the "front row" for all our favorite artists, thanks to the exceptional lineup. It created an immersive and vibrant atmosphere for virtual attendees, an experience that will be cherished for weeks to come. We particularly enjoyed the ability to switch between channels, allowing us to catch performances from even more artists. Here's to hoping that future iterations of Bonnaroo will introduce additional channels, possibly expanding into daytime acts. Bonnaroo continues to evolve and solidify its reputation as one of the premier music festivals, leaving us eagerly anticipating the next chapter of its remarkable journey.

While we unfortunately missed a few of our favorites, including My Morning Jacket and the Foo Fighters, we would love to hear from those who attended in person or via the Hulu Livestream. Please share your thoughts on the sets we missed and your overall experience of the festival.
